Exploring creative possibilities with vibrant textiles, Emma creates bold, bright jewellery that embodies her passion for colour and materials, inspired by her love of travel, fashion and architecture.
Trained at Central St. Martins in Woven Textiles, Emma developed and explored three-dimensional form through weaving, folding and knotting. These ideas evolved into her signature textile jewellery in which she creates solid geometric forms entirely by hand, integrating colour and texture into sculptural designs.
Memories, recollections and keepsakes define Emma Calvert's latest collection, where moments are distilled into colours and graphic shapes to connect the wearer to a place. By using colours derived from specific photographs from her travels, each piece reflects the spirit of the place - from the neon sunsets of Ibiza to the view of Canary Wharf in London.
Emma makes every piece of jewellery by hand in her London studio within the creative hub of Cockpit Arts.
