Taran Taraan

Bonita Ahuja set up taran taaran in November 2005.
taran taaran is an effort to encourage the spontaneity of the human hand and create timelessness for the things we use. The product line primarily comprises of luxurious one-off textiles for both fashion and interiors.
Bonita takes inspiration from objects, people and environments that project natural and unconscious beauty. In a paradox of sorts, she looks for irregularities and flaws on the one hand and how they come together to create a sense of balance and harmony on the other.
Bonita trained in fashion at the National Institute of Fashion Technology, New Delhi and later in woven textiles at the Chelsea College Of Art and Design, London. Her affinity for craft led design has brought in many interesting projects such as a design residency with the British Council in Thailand, researching traditional pashmina spinning and weaving in Kashmir and design consultancy for celebrated textile designer Neeru Kumar as well as Nitya, Paris.
taran taaran products are sold at some of the finest design shops and galleries around the world.
