Rachel studied Art and Design at Farnham College and then a degree in Graphic Design at the University of Creative Arts. She graduated in 2004 and since then has focused more on portrait painting rather than design.
10 years ago Rachel created Rae Mae Portraits and over that period has produced approximately 90 commissions.
In 2016 Rachel returned to her design background and decided to focus on producing images of Farnham. Beginning with simple line drawings of all of the pubs, Rachel progressed to developing more intricate illustrations using Adobe Illustrator. Inspired by Pop Art her aim is to capture that simplistic yet striking style in her own work.
