Chloe's paintings are rhythmical visualisations, often exploring the relationship between femaleness and the land. Chloe explores the earth's connectivity with much of the art having allegorical nuances. Forces are omnipresent in the paintings; the wind, horses, moons, movement, are all recurring symbols in her paintings.
Colour is vibrant, fauvist to an extent, brushstrokes are fast and fluid. She also uses celtic mythology, as well as literature, to not only tell stories but to raise awareness of the planet and our thorny relationship with it.
Chloe says: "While my work is fantastical and escapist, it equally reflects my joy for the literal land I live in. The doves, mushrooms, fleshy foliage all exist in the woods I'm surrounded in."
There is a celebration of local wilderness on the canvases, with folklore interwoven into the subtext. Chloe is inspired by the bucolic landscapes of Hampshire and Surrey. For commissions, Chloe frequently enjoy depicting private gardens and delicate Hampshire and Surrey cottages for clients.
