With life moving increasingly indoors we are beginning to feel deprived of nature, reminding us of our innate attraction towards it. With an awareness of the mental and physical health benefits that nature brings, Jayden Newman offers new ways of inviting nature indoors. Using eco materials and a range of metal fabrication methods his designs explore the relationship between nature and manufactured materials, through sculptural forms inspired by the way nature behaves in the built environment.
Chime is Jayden's first example of the statement above. A debut range of three planters, from his new brand Perula, all sharing the same design but offering different purposes with the aim to meet the needs of a variety of interior spaces. This design is made entirely from steel, with areas finished with an antique brown patina and others upholstered with a pebble grey eco fabric, made from pineapple leaf fibres, called Pinatex.
Jayden is based in Bedfordshire.
