Biography
I hope you enjoy looking at my ceramic wares. They are made solely by me in my studio in Co. Donegal, Ireland.
My ceramic collection consists of slab built utilitarian wares and functional vessels that are inspired by my love of old houses, crockery and gardens. It all started inside my grandmothers house where miscellaneous cups and utensils as well as patterned wallpaper inside old cupboards captured my imagination. Once each piece is made, I inscribe drawings of cups, utensils, jugs, leaves and flowers onto the clay surface. I impress lace into the clay to give the impression of traces of wallpaper left behind.
I would describe my pottery as feminine, whimsical, nostalgic and contemporary but it is also designed to be robust enough for everyday use.
