Biography
Award winning duo Evangelos Pourgouris and Miranda Falkner established their creative partnership in 1994 and has since then, been trading as EM Jewellery. Their aim is to provide clients with genuinely handmade jewellery in an exclusive contemporary design, executed with the fine traditional skills of a goldsmith.
They both graduated from the London Guildhall University after six years of extensive design research and studies, covering a wide range of traditional technical skills both in fine jewellery making and silversmithing. They have since applied their knowledge in a wide variety of projects and honed their metalworking skills to the highest professional levels. Their proficiency and experience has established them as one of the foremost designer jeweller outfits operating in the UK today and their distinguished pieces are highly sought after both in this country and abroad.
The inspirations for their designs are based on the observation of the nature, with its
abundance of forms and textures, along with the study of any obscure objects found in our everyday lives. These eternal beauties are then interpreted and developed into their creations by using different materials and by employing a multitude of processes in order to deliver them in a true form to their concepts.
Each and every piece is hand crafted from their London studio in one off or limited
edition, so to offer the rarity of a bespoke piece with an identity of its own; simple yet elegant, modest yet precious.
