Rag Makers

Biography

Rag Makers is a mother and daughter practice, Liz and Margret Beaumont, inspired by the women in their family who spent their lives working in the rag trade, recycling woollen cloth in Ossett, West Yorkshire. They work with local mills to design, make and source a range of environmentally conscious fabrics, which they use to make they're textile accessories.

Liz and Martgret's accessories are characterised by a tonal, muted palette with bright pops of contrast colour and are very tactile due to the materials used. All they're products are designed, made and finished by hand in they're studio in West Yorkshire.
