Biography
Jill Jeffrey a landscape artist who makes extensive outdoor studies around the country. Her work has a contemporary feel, resulting in paintings that are both dramatic and evocative.
Jill works in pastels, watercolour and occasionally acrylic, with 300gm paper or board as her base and use mix of brush, palette knife, graffito depending on the subject and the result she wants. Jill usually works on several pieces at the same time, as Jill works only from life and not photographic sources. When working on landscape pieces especially, she uses a deal of imagination, and will always sketch and then work straight onto the piece.
