Peter Vincent

Biography

Peter Vincent's journey in the arts began with graphic design training at Southend School of Art. He worked in a London design studio, specialising in exhibitions, before becoming a personal assistant to freelance designer Alan Badcock.

A pivotal moment came when he secured a contract with the Canadian Government to co-design the Centennial Confederation Train and Caravans. This marked his foray into using pastels to illustrate design concepts. After notable recognition, including winning an AIA award for a commercial exhibition in New York, Peter returned to the UK to establish his own design practice. Over three decades, he made his mark as an international exhibition designer, working with prestigious clients worldwide.

Early retirement led Peter to Sussex, where he focused on his passion for pastels. Peter's work has been exhibited across the UK and featured in galleries in Tunbridge Wells, Lewes, and Teddington. Recognised for his contributions, Peter is a member of The Pastel Society and a Fellow of The Chartered Society of Designers and The Royal Society of Arts. Awards from Unison and Daler-Rowney attest to his artistic prowess.
