I became interested in art and craft at an early age, eventually fulfilling my objective to practice as a ceramist.
Chito Kuroda is a Japanese ceramist who works with porcelain made on a wheel. For her latest series, she uses three matt glazes on the exterior surface and a shiny pale blue glaze on the interior. With simple and clean outlines, her work is calm and quiet.
Chito studied Indian Pottery and Ceramics in Los Angeles in 1995 and then graduated in Ceramics in 1999 at Kingston & Chelsea College, London. She has participated in numerous ceramic workshops and has exhibited widely to include work shown at the V & A Museum, Somerset House, Geffrye Museum and Museum of London. He work was featured in 500 Bowls - Making and Installing Handmade Tiles and Chito made a guest appearance to show her work on ITV This Morning. Rock musician, Pete Doherty is also the proud owner of one of her pieces.
