On graduating from Manchester Metropolitan University in 1999 with a first class honours degree in Printed Textiles, Charlotte has worked primarily as a painter and printmaker exhibiting and selling work in galleries.

Eclectic and decorative objects are arranged to form a narrative and the work is driven by Charlotte's imagination and passion for colour and pattern. There is always a sense of striving for simplicity and spontaneity in the drawing and composition. The work is in mixed media using acrylics, inks, textile dyes and collage on watercolour paper.

The paintings have been internationally produced as greeting cards, posters, limited editions prints and as editorial illustrations. Last year, Charlotte was commissioned to create a bespoke illustration over the walls of a café and became the first artist in residence at The Affordable Art Fair in London. This involved large scale chandeliers on wallpaper which hung from the ceiling.
