My printmaking is invariably inspired by words from sources as diverse as apocryphal stories, nursery rhymes, advertising, and right through to pop lyrics. The words often survive in the titles of the work or, more obviously, as visual elements in the finished pieces, but in doing so they take on new meanings and create stories of their own.
